WBL4JOB

WORK-BASED LEARNING FOR BETTER EMPLOYABILITY OF GRADUATES IN ARMENIA AND MOLDOVA

EUCEN is involved as a full partner in a new project aiming to introduce Work-Based Learning (WBL) in Higher Education systems in Armenia and Moldova. This project – called WBL4JOB – is bringing together Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Ministries of Education from Armenia and Moldova, enterprises, and Universities from EU countries. It is coordinated by the French University in Armenia.

WBL4JOB is bringing together Higher Education Institutions and Ministries of Education from Armenia and Moldova, enterprises, and Universities from EU countries.

Despite recent reforms in Higher Education systems in line with the Bologna Process, Armenian and Moldavian Universities are facing important challenges, including high unemployment of graduates, mismatch between skills delivered and those needed by enterprises, weak university-enterprise cooperation, and lack of policy/legal framework for university-enterprise cooperation, especially through Work-Based Learning.

The WBL4JOB project aims to address those challenges. Partners will seek to enhance partnership between enterprises and HEIs and to increase graduates’ employability through development and implementation of supporting national policy, legal framework, and generic, flexible Apprenticeships Higher Education Model, with the ultimate aim of promoting work-based learning in Armenia and Moldova.

This project is funded under KA2-Capacity Building in Higher Education of the Erasmus+ programme and will be running until January 2024.
